CRM1610KSF: M16-10KSF - Special Forces - Tanto - Black - Designed by Kit Carson

CRKT

The M16 –SS EDC Series - A proven knife design platform made simple, made tough, and made affordable.

If you are a fan of the Kit Carson designed M16 tactical folding knives you are going to want to check out these stainless steel (SS) variations.

Handles are shaped and contoured in the same confident grip M16 style, but are crafted of a retro flavored stainless steel. Handles are all finished in a classic black oxide finish. These folders are available in several blade style options including cutting edge configurations, each with their own user advantages to offer. Blades also feature the Carson Flipper for quick and convenient blade actuation—and the flipper doubles as an effective blade guard in the open position. Blade lock up is secured through the traditional framelock mechanism.

The M16-SS EDC Series is a straight up, "no frills" every day carry folder design that kicks butt in pure performance and value.

Features

  • Stainless steel pocket clip is movable and provides for convenient carry/access.
  • A robust, rigid handle/frame construction is tough, yet still overall compact for low impact carry.
  • The double flipper makes for an effective blade guard in its open position on the M16-10KSF.

My edc for 5 years
This is the knife my wife bought me over 5 years ago now. I’ve carried it everyday since. It’s a great beater knife. Opens boxes, cuts tape, the serrations are very sharp. Some caveats of the knife after using it for 5 years: the pommel where you push to flick the knife open has become rather sharp and uncomfortable over the years from wear and tear. Also the blade has some small knicks in the blade on the straight part and the tonto edge. Other than that if you oil the hinge and keep her sharp this is a perfect little knife for you. It’s not super comfy or perfect by any means but this knife has really become sentimental to me.

CRKT M16
Surprisingly a good knife, especially for its price. It was not what I was expected because it does not have a regular two sided bevel. This only has a one sided bevel, and not exactly fitted for right handed people. The bevel is on the side for left handed people I believe. (This is not necessarily a good or bad thing, just making observations.)At the time of this product's purchase, I was not informed that this had only one bevel. There was no information on this knife's page that it only had one bevel. I do not believe that they were trying to mislead, but perhaps someone just left the detail out. Overall though, this is a pretty decent knife for it's price range. It is very lightweight as well. Blade material is not supposedly a "good" material but I think that if someone is using this as a work knife, it will not really matter. The blade part has this "handguard" type thing due to it having a flipper. Nice little detail, not a full 100% handguard, but it is something.

Not what I expected.
As soon as I received the box it came in, the orange box from ThatOrangeBox.com, was smashed. Luckily they used a lot of packing popcorn. Wasn't too happy about that. I get it open and get it out of the CRKT box and only think one thing.....why is it so small???? I saw the measurements and compared it to the one I have and looked like it would be a hair smaller...it's not...there's literally no handle compared to my current one. This knife is a baby training knife. I was expecting something more to be able to hold on to. Not this. Will not be doing business with this site ever again and most definitely will not be suggesting it to anyone.

Knifecenter note: If the item was not as expected, this customer could have shipped it back to us and gotten a refund. The item was as described and the crushed box is nothing that a vendor such as us has control over. We regret this person holds us responsible. We will continue to supply quality products and describe them accurately.
