The M16-14SF Big Dog is a hefty utility version, featuring a 3.875" dual grind Tanto blade for maximum strength. The blade, frame, and hardware are all non-reflective tactical black, with the blade receiving a black titanium nitride coating for superior corrosion resistance. One-handed opening and closing is quick and smooth thanks to Kit Carson's trademark dual thumb studs and flippers, which also form a true hilt when the blade is open.
This knife features contoured scales of hard anodized 6061 T6 aluminum, providing a comfortable and secure grip with or without gloves. Its exclusive AutoLAWKS automatic safety mechanism turns the folder into a virtual fixed blade when locked open. The M16-14SF is equipped with a versatile clip for four-position carry on belts or webbing, making it a special knife designed for special forces.

It has safety button to close, poor design
I own multiple knives and several CRKT's so when I saw this one I got it. I should've read the discerption and looked at the photos better. This knife has the most awkward safety latch I have ever seen, I should've returned right away. Beware.

This thing is everything I was looking for and more. Definitely well made, strong and looks and feels like it will last a very long time. I was leery about spending the money on it, but it was definitely worth the money. The heft of this thing in your hand is amazing. The weight isn't bad at all, and while not the largest knife in my collection, it definitely is the biggest of my EDC knives. I will be carrying this everywhere. The only con(and reason for a missing star), is the little safety lever that has to be pulled to close the knife. Makes me wonder if they thought their liner lock wasn't enough. Still not nearly enough of a con to make me regret owning this knife. It dwarfs my Gerber EVO and I am pleased to have this knife. Thank you Knife Center! Great service and shipping.

Just what I wanted ,,, a beefy big folder that can be used as a camping/survival knife. Love the partial serration that can be a life saver. Tanto style is a great plus as well.
