Cold Steel

Tough enough to do the job and light enough to be handy, Cold Steel’s Tuff Lite folder is there when you need it. It’s perfectly sized to slip into a pocket, clip to your waistband or wear around your neck on a lanyard. With a wide, hollow ground 2.5" blade, it’s mercilessly sharp and can shear through the toughest materials with unexpected ease. Its slant point offers deep penetration and precision cutting potential without appearing aggressive enough to draw unwanted attention. It's bred for work and offers a surprisingly good grip due to its superbly engineered Griv-Ex handle that offers an enormous strength to weight ratio and features Cold Steel's state of the art Tri-Ad lock, which gives it astonishing muscle for its size. Small and inconspicuous, yet strong and tough enough to prevail in an emergency, they make terrific 24/7 companions for all walks of life.

Cons: Handle Material
One of my favorite small knives
I bought this Tuff Lite knife to carry in my car in case of an emergency or self defense and frankly love it for its highly utilitarian nature. With my medium sized female hands, this knife is very easy to carry, is super sharp, and is easy to open and close even with the often times finicky Triad lock I've experience on other Cold Steel models. I bought this knife in blue because it looks harmless and 'cute' but its neither of those things. I have this in my car handle of my driver door and it stays put even if I hit a huge pothole. I've also carried it in my pocket or purse if I feel wary of the area I'm in. I own over 100 fixed and folding knives, including 6 other Cold Steel knives (including two AD-10s) and I still love this knife despite its small size. And in the case of the Triad lock on this knife, its easy to release, which I can't say about two other Cold Steel knives I bought and had to return because it was so hard to release the blade.. And while I'm not a fan of the plastic handle material, it brings down the price of this knife.

Pros: Blade Sharpness
Cons: Lock Ease of Use, Lock Type
Hard to close
Nice when open blade is very sharp. Very hard to close. You have to press harder with your fingernail just to close it. Wish there was an adjustment.

Great EDC!
This is a great every day carry. I barely remember I'm wearing it, which is what makes it a "Lite". Perfect for opening nasty clam shell packaging, and great for opening boxes wrapped in packing tape, which seems to be what I use it for the most, or popping the packing balloons.
