Another addition to Cold Steel's line-up of high-performance swords is inspired by examples of early 17th century Polish sabers.
Used both on horseback and on foot, these battlefield sabers had a fearsome reputation, not least for the skill-at-arms of the Polish noblemen who wielded them, but also for their phenomenal cutting potential.
Cold Steel's interpretation of this historically significant blade was designed by custom bladesmith Dave Baker, and is made from expertly heat treated carbon steel. With a fully sharpened, distal tapered and strongly curved blade, the Polish Saber is capable of delivering exceptional cuts, while still remaining stiff enough for the thrust.

Highest quality Saber.
I've always been fascinated by edged weapons and this Polish Saber doesn't disappoint. It is very high quality, well balanced and also eye appealing. The blade and handle were covered in cosmoline as a protectant, so that required some cleaning. The blade is polished but was dull so I did have to sharpen it. The packaging was very professional so the blade and scabbard had no scratches. Also, I had been to the Cold Steel Headquarters in Ventura, CA and the price they were asking for the Polish Saber was double what I paid at KnifeCenter. So always check out KnifeCenter before you commit to any edged weapon purchase. It just might save you some big bucks.Mark
