Description

EPA3: Apex 3 Kit

Edge Pro Inc

The Apex Model Edge Pro is a patented system that will sharpen any size or shape blade (up to 3.5" wide), including serrated knives. Knives can be sharpened at exactly the same angle every time, making re-sharpening so fast you will never work with a dull blade again. Our water stones have been custom formulated to free you from messy, gummed-up oil stones. They last a long time and are inexpensive to replace. The Apex will remove far less metal than electric sharpeners or grinders, eliminating wavy edges and adding to the life and performance of your knives.

The Apex removes nicks and dings without distorting the knife edge. It creates no heat, preserving the temper of your knives. It sets up in seconds on any smooth surface. No power required and comes with a convenient carrying case. Requires no maintenance other than routine cleaning.

Patented Knife guide system does not clamp the blade, so you can sharpen any length or shape blade up to 3.5" wide. Adjustable sharpening angles, from 10, 15, 18, 21, and 24 degrees and infinitely in between. Manufactured from the highest quality materials in Hood River, Oregon, US.

Absolutely Great Sharpening System
My order was filled quickly and accurately.

Setup was intuitive and easy.

I am a first time user of a system like this. I tried it out firs on my pocket knife. It iwas a little bit of a challenge because it is a short tonto blade with a portion of the blade serrated. It turned out ok. I went on to my first kitchen knife starting with the paring knife. That was quick and easy and using my pairing knife for small tomatoes was so enjoyable. I could actually cut the skin instead of tearing it. Next i went on to my main kitchen knife. The blade turned out awesome. I did get to the 1,000 grit stone where i realized it was perfect and stopped there. Cutting vegetables and small meats work like a breeze now.

I had to warn my wife, who is scared of sharp knives, and let her know which knives i sharpened. She did use them an was surprisingly pleased.

I still have learing to do but so far, I really love the Edge Pro Apex.

Perfect sharp angles
It's good for following the factory edge or reprofiling the edge to your specific angle choice. What ever the case may be you can do it with the Edge Pro. Gets getting use to switching to your off hand but you can do it. Just take your time and eventually you'll get there. Follow the instructions and watch the video. It will show you the proper way. I would recommend this system to anyone looking to get a true edge.

perfect angles for a perfect cutting edge.
Take the time to review the video and read the manual.Go slow at first to get the feeling of the system. You will find that a black marker is very useful considering knives never have the same angles and the same knife might have two different angles. That said this system will get you to your goal.I wish it would of had a clamp to hold the knife. That would eliminate human error all together but it would slow things down.Cutting is an act of "Force" not sharpness. So you have to find a middle. I got it to the 1000 grit and it didn't cut as well as when I get a paper slicing 600 grit edge. So you have to play with it a bit.
