The HK MP7 Personal Duty Knife (PDK) continues this legacy, crafted for maximum versatility in tactical, outdoor, bushcraft, and hunting scenarios. Named after the HK MP7 submachine gun, which embodies the Personal Defence Weapon (PDW) concept, the PDK integrates ergonomic design, textured grip, exceptional durability, and reliability akin to its namesake firearm.
At its core is a black-coated spear point blade made of Swedish 14C28N stainless steel. Enhanced with manganese and nitrogen, this steel delivers outstanding hardness, edge retention, and corrosion resistance while maintaining a fine microstructure, improving shock resilience and ease of re-sharpening. The full-tang construction extends through the handle, visible via the lanyard hole, while remaining enclosed at the base to allow for applied pressure or light impacts. The one-piece molded handle is constructed from robust fiberglass-reinforced nylon (FRN).
The PDK includes a modular Kydex sheath system for secure and adaptable carry. The sheath’s precision fit eliminates the need for additional fasteners, ensuring the knife is held securely. Carry options include a durable nylon belt loop or a MOLLE-compatible steel clip, catering to various operational requirements.
