Very nice traditional feel knife
I purchased this as a gift for a young relative off tree planting this summer, so will be living out of a bush camp for 3 months. My idea was to get them a basic small bush/camp knife, but with a bit of style and traditional look. This knife fits that bill very nicely. It was shaving sharp out of the box. The curly birch is really nicely sanded and stained. Fit and finish is excellent - guard and antler ring are mated perfectly and the build feels solid and stout. The size is perfect for a utilitarian belt knife for bush camp living. The sheath fit is sufficiently snug that the knife won’t fall out unexpectedly. In my hands, the handle could be a bit broader laterally - just a bit more swell to fill my hand better. But my niece has smaller hands so should be fine for her (it was not uncomfortable or unusable in my hands, just feels like more lateral swell to the handle shape would be nicer). KnifeCenter got it to me 3 days from order, so thanks there!
