KUV36192KS1: Vanguard V3619.2KS1 Azo Drop Bear 2 Clutch Lock Folding Knife - Black Micarta

Kizer Cutlery

The Kizer Drop Bear 2 features a slim and sleek design while showcasing a variety of blade profiles in a slightly smaller package than the original. The Nitro-V blade is a workhorse and will perform extraordinarily well in between sparse sharpening sessions. The handles consist of your choice of materials with skeletonized stainless steel liners for strength and rigidity. The blade snaps open with ease thanks to the double thumb studs and bearings, ensuring that the blade is ready the moment you are. The real showstopper here is Kizer's Clutch Lock, which is a different take on the familiar crossbar or AXIS lock providing excellent power and ease of use. The Drop Bear is a must-try knife.

Vanguard Series

The Vanguard Series brings excellent value to high-quality designs. Since the start of Kizer Cutlery, they have focused on the high end of the knife market with their impeccable quality and premium materials. This has earned them a place in the hearts of their fans. To increase the accessibility of Kizer brand products, they took the designs of the Bladesmith and Prime Series, and while keeping the quality at the same high level, re-forged them using materials that bring extra value for the money spent. Kizer uses only materials that have stellar performance, such as VG10 for the blades and G10 or stainless steel for the handles. This way, Kizer products are available at all budget levels but still maintain that incredible quality of construction.

Tools share a common goal and purpose. That purpose is performance, reliable to the end. Kizer brings you the Vanguard Series created with the purpose of distilling the essence of the Bladesmith and Prime Series into tools that excel in being used. This may not be your only knife, but this will be the knife you carry and use every day!

Really great!
This is a great knife! My first knives were all cheap lockbacks from walmart or ace. I'm 40 so internet shopping wasn't really a thing when I was the young. My first modern style knife was a Kershaw CQB(I think, the emerson wave style) D2 blade. I couldn't believe how long the edge held. Carried that for years and got a Spyderco S30V, mostly for the compression lock and I love it. But this knife is great, the Nitro V and 14c28n (same steel really) blades are amazing. There really is no reason to buy an expensive knife anymore unless you just want to. The fit and finish on this knife is as good as any company I would buy from. Can't say about the $400 dollar knives they're probably better but I'm not paying that much. In short the Drop Bear is as good as that $180 dollar knife you want but can't afford.
