Katz Knives

Katz Knives was founded in 1991 by Keith Derkatz. All Katz knives are designed by Mr. Derkatz, and are made in Japan by high quality manufacturers. The Katz Knife line includes hunting knives, lock back folding knives, money clip knives and more. The blades of all Katz Knives are made of one of two types of proprietary steel: XT70 stainless steel, that tests out at 54-55 on the Rockwell "C" scale, or XT80 stainless steel, that tests out at 58-59 on the Rockwell "C" scale. With the resilience of these excellent stainless steels, the blades will hold and retain their edge to the high standard for which Katz is known.

The Katz Lion King. It features a 6.125" all purpose blade, made of XT80 stainless steel that is 5mm thick. The satin finished blade is hollow ground, with a 2" texture notched thumb rest for control. The Lion King knife has a fully checkered Kraton handle, flared at the butt for balance, with a pronounced choil and a lanyard hole in the butt cap. The Knife includes a leather belt sheath. The Katz Lion King is 10.875" overall in length and weighs 11.5 oz.
