ME977: 977 Boar's Bowie Knife

Maserin

Maserin collaborated with the Facebook group "Wild Boars Our Passion" to create a specialized boar hunting knife. The aim was the realization of the best knives for hunters of wild boars combining high quality materials with the excellence of the craftsmanship, aesthetics, easy usage and total security. The result is a 8.5" clip point blade forged from the high carbon 440C stainless steel. Clip point blades are great for precise cutting thanks to the extremely sharp tip. The handles are made from the lightweight and very durable Micarta, which is made of canvas or linen and resin pressed at very high pressure. The logo of "Wild Boars Our Passion" is engraved on the blade. Included with the knife is a leather sheath and production is 100% made in Italy.

Italian Boar Bowie
One of the Finest knifes of my entire collection. I have many knives of this sort, >7" with leather sheaths. I even have at least one other Maserin knife.This is a very fine piece. The craftsmanship and quality of both the knife and the sheath are just noticeably superior to anything similar in this price range.

Had this bowie for several years now and...
had never had such a sharp long blade like this one. All reviews describing how sharp this knife comes out from the assembly line are indeed accurate. No doubt this knife will finish any boar for sure. Yes, the handle could have been a bit smaller for small hands, but still not bad as it offers plenty of grip texture. Probably best trail / camping knife out there: Superb!

Fantastic quality
I’ve had this knife for around 6 months. I’ve taken it in the trail and into the woods many times. It is extremely comfortable to carry and comes with a quality leather sheath. The handle is huge, I have large size hands and I wish it was a bit smaller. Fit and finish is amazing. The one thing that stands out about this blade is that it is sharp. Spooky sharp. I own and use a lot of knives and I was very intimidated when I realized how sharp this blade is and can get. One slip with a knife this size and this sharpness level and you better have a good first aid kit with u. Definitely one of my favorite blades and possibly one of the best large camp knife options available at this price point.
