NO24335: Japanese-Style Combination Waterstone 220/1000
Norton

Waterstones are synthetic stones designed to be softer than oil stone. The softer stones are used with water as the lubricant (versus oil) to develop a fast-cutting slurry. The Norton Waterstone system was designed in a carefully planned an efficient sharpening sequence. You get the level of abrasiveness you need at each stage, without wasting time trying to sharpen your knives on a grit that is too fine, too soon. These stones are very popular for the Japanese-style knives. Uses water as a lubricant and flushing agent. Easier to clean than oilstones. Won't leave an oil residue. Ideal for sharpening woodworking tools, knives, cutlery, and other blades. Includes blue plastic storage box.

Nice large stone
This is a nice wide stone if hand sharpening large blades. It's advertised as a water stone but feels very hard, more like Norton oil stones I've used in the past. I purchased japanese water stone at the same time and prefer its softer feel.

Good sharpening stones for a straight razor…
Good to make a usable essential sharp straight razor. If you are looking for a more comfortable blade you should look to finer grit stones or diamond strop pastes (with more chances to cut yourself!).

Great Stones
The 1000 grit is a great stone for setting your razor's bevel. Stone is a good width and length and comes in a plastic case designed to keep the stone in place while you hone. Perfect!
