Description

OP001084: N012 Folding Knife, Stainless Steel

Opinel

Quite possibly the greatest camping knife on the market for the last 120 years! The Opinel N012 is incredibly durable and lightweight. The wood handle does not transfer heat or cold to the hand. Stabilized beechwood is ultra resistant and comfortably contoured to fit the hand. The blade is made from 12C27 Sandvik Stainless steel, which will not rust, however try to avoid leaving your Opinel knife in damp environments for too long and dry the blade after each use. This is a very large knife - please review its size before considering it.

Safety

  • This knife features the Virobloc Safety ring. The Virobloc safety ring was invented and implemented in 1955. This simple yet effective locking system greatly improved the original knife. The ability to help prevent the blade from opening when closed was added to the Virobloc in 2000.

Big ol.honkin excellent classic of a knife😂
I use it as a cutting and slicing tool. Like DCA said on YT these knives arent prybars, choppers, screwdrivers or hammers. Razor sharp but had a slight burr on the averse side of the blade, Easily corrected with a couple of very light strokes on a strop. Waxed blade and handle to help.slow moisture absorption
