Opinel

The tapered handle of this knife combined with its light weight makes it a favorite among gardeners. The Opinel N08 is the most popular and versatile size in the ever-growing line of Opinel folding knives. This knife is small enough to be used as a pocket knife and its 3.25" blade is capable for most all of your cutting needs. Stabilized beechwood is ultra-resistant and comfortably contoured to fit the hand. The blade is made from 12C27 Sandvik Stainless steel, which will not rust, however, try to avoid leaving your Opinel knife in damp environments for too long and dry the blade after each use.

Safety

  • This knife features the Virobloc Safety ring. The Virobloc safety ring was invented and implemented in 1955. This simple yet effective locking system greatly improved the original knife. The ability to help prevent the blade from opening when closed was added to the Virobloc in 2000.

Opinels are great
Opinels are great knives. I find the downward curve of the handle makes the garden knife more comfortable to hold than the standard handle shape. I also like being able to easily pinch open the blade instead of using the nail nick.I’d get a No6 garden and No10 garden, if Opinel made them.

best carving handle
The Opinel n08 is a beautiful knife for all your knife needs. I bought the n08 garden folding because the handle shape is so comfortable. I find it fits my hands better than the regular opinel handles. I use this knife to carve spoons, notches, feather sticks for hours without any hotspots or fatigue. this is the best opinel in my opinion.

its an opinel!
Got this for my wife the twist lock was easy for her to use these opinels are always straight forward easy to use simple lock and at this price who cares if its lost. The stainless steel is a plus for garden/yard work. An always a shout out to knife center..fast friendly and so easy to deal with..teach some other people how to do customer service and run a web site..
