Cut cheese for crackers, open up a bottle of wine, and enjoy your picnic with this excellent two-in-one tool. For the first time since 1890, the famous Opinel knife becomes a corkscrew. Five grooved spirals made of hardened stainless steel guarantee a flawless extraction of corks. Stabilized beechwood is ultra-resistant and enables washing in a dishwasher, though it is not recommended. The Corkscrew knife comes with a bottle opener attachment on the bottom of the handle. The blade is made from stainless steel, which will not rust, however, try to avoid leaving your Opinel knife in damp environments for too long and dry the blade after each use. A must for picnics, camping, and outdoor activities. Please note that the spiral/corkscrew used on this Opinel model is the same model/part number found on the world-renowned Chateau Laguiole corkscrews.
Safety
- This knife features the Virobloc Safety ring. The Virobloc safety ring was invented and implemented in 1955. This simple yet effective locking system greatly improved the original knife.The ability to help prevent the blade from opening when closed was added to the Virobloc in 2000.
