ESEE Knives

Since 1997 Randall's Adventure & Training has designed no-nonsense, affordable field knives specifically targeted to military, law enforcement, and the special operations community. The NTOA scored the 3-inch fixed blade a 4.77 out of a possible 5. In addition to knives, ESEE also offers survival, land navigation, tracking and other training courses along with free survival information. 

The ESEE-4 is one of the most popular ESEE knives ever made. With its 0.1875" blade thickness, it's the perfect blend between toughness and cutting efficiency all in a small package. If you can only choose one, then the ESEE-4 is the do-all workhorse of the ESEE line. These knives are made from high carbon 1095 steel. And while 1095 is a top choice for professional cutlery designed for hard use, it will rust and stain if not properly cared for - especially on the cutting edge and around the laser engraving. It is the user's responsibility to keep the blades properly lubricated and cleaned. We suggest using a dry film rust inhibitor such as TUF-GLIDE or TUF-CLOTH. The ESEE-4 is still a favorite amongst law enforcement and military teams due to its light weight, thin profile and various sheath options.

A typical excellent knife from RAT/ESEE
For people familiar with other RAT/ESEE knives, it will deliver exactly what is expected from it. For ones who are new to this company, it will be excellent knife for any occasion. Personally I think RC4 is the most universal knife in the lineup. It cuts well thanks to the flat grind, it's heavy and long enough to chop and it's build really tough. Plus the warranty. There is really not too much to write about it, simply an another excellent knife from RAT/ESEE cutlery. Orange handles make it a bit more special though, and it is easier to find in the foliage. The only drawback I can think of is the price, which is a bit too steep in my opinion for a rather simple 1095 steel knife, but general quality of manufacture, sheath and warranty makes up for it. That said, I would really appreciate ESEE/RC knifes with something like D2 on the blade.
