RCIZULAGYKIT: IZULA-GY-KIT Izula with Survival Kit
ESEE Knives
Since 1997 Randall's Adventure & Training has designed no-nonsense, affordable field knives specifically targeted to military, law enforcement, and the special operations community. Many of their knives now serve in combat zones around the globe. The knives have a "no questions asked" lifetime warranty. ESEE Knives is also setting the standard for many local, state and federal law enforcement officers when it comes to high performance, compact sheath knives with multiple carry options. The NTOA scored the 3-inch fixed blade a 4.77 out of a possible 5. In addition to knives, ESEE also offers survival, land navigation, tracking and other training courses along with free survival information.

The locals in Peru call the meanest, nastiest ant of the jungle by the name "Isula" and we know it as the Bullet Ant. The Bullet Ant is known to be independent, tough, light on its feet, and a real aggressive survivor. The Izula knife is built the same way and designed to be the perfect lightweight survival tool or concealed carry knife. These knives are made from high carbon 1095 steel. And while 1095 is a top choice for professional cutlery designed for hard use, it will rust and stain if not properly cared for - especially on the cutting edge and around the laser engraving. It is the user's responsibility to keep the blades properly lubricated and cleaned. We suggest using a dry film rust inhibitor such as TUF-GLIDE or TUF-CLOTH.

Izula Complete Survival Kit includes paracord, cord lock, large split ring, small split ring, ferro fire starting rod, emergency whistle, and plastic snap hook. The kit can be ordered separately here.

1095 Carbon Steel
1095 Carbon Steel
An excellent hard use steel, 1095 is a primary choice for camping and larger fixed blade knives for its extreme toughness and ability to hold an edge. Corrosion resistance is very limited with this steel (it will rust) and most blades come with a coating to prevent premature rusting.

Pros: Sheath/Scabbard, Blade Sharpness, Overall Quality, Weight, Blade Material
Cons: None
Ive had this knife about 6 months now. I orginally bought it to replace a spyderco fixed blade that was just too big for EDC. It has served me perfectly super light and ultra durable (there is nothing on this knife to break). It disappears on my belt and when i do take it fishing it does any job i need (be sure to oil it afterwards). The sheath looks cheap and i was afraid it wouldnt hold up but i still get great retention and havent had any issues with it. Steel is wonderfully sharp.

This knife is exactly what I expected: sharp and solid. I have zero complaints about the knife and would purchase again. One shortcoming I did find, however, was with how the sheath can be oriented. I had been hoping to carry this knife horizontally on a belt, and while this can be accomplished, you must use paracord to do it. The sheath can be mounted vertically on a belt, but you cannot simply unscrew the sheath and reaffix in a horizontal position because the holes will not line up that way with the belt clip. This criticism takes nothing away from the knife or even the functionality of the sheath itself; it only means I couldn't do precisely what I wanted with it (but I do think an easy redesign could fix this).
