The Izula knife is built the same way and designed to be the perfect lightweight survival tool or concealed carry knife. These knives are made from high carbon 1095 steel. And while 1095 is a top choice for professional cutlery designed for hard use, it will rust and stain if not properly cared for - especially on the cutting edge and around the laser engraving. It is the user's responsibility to keep the blades properly lubricated and cleaned. We suggest using a dry film rust inhibitor such as TUF-GLIDE or TUF-CLOTH.

Compact and Tough!
Growing up and will be returning to "retire" in marine environment (Visayan Sea in our front door). I never had a carbon steel (I hate rust) knife for EDC, this is the 1st ever knife I bought in 1095, and been using it for weeks now, Wow! I was impress by the toughness of this knife, it can take abuse like a walk in the park. Won't hold the edge for long but very easy to sharpen. Will buy another one for my Son.

Simple and working design is wisdom
To remove it from sheath just grasp, with only one hand, the handle of the knife in the right way then push your thumb against the sheath corner. Also. After removing the knife from the sheath, with this simple move, you find your thumb being placed on the special dents on the spine of the knife thus having an immediate secure grasp to do whatever you need to in an emergency situation. This is the main purpose of neck knifes, to have them handy at an easily approachable spot for either hand to use in emergency.

I like everything about the knife itself, but I can't use it as a neck knife. It's all but impossible to remove it from the sheath. Is their anything that I can do to make it easier to remove from the sheath? Right now it's just an expensive letter opener. Serial #39917.
