ESEE Knives

The Gibson Pinch is one if not

the

most anticipated offering ever to come from ESEE Knives because it's a design that just works. Custom knifemaker James Gibson always has a knife dangling around his neck, especially out in the bush, to accompany his working fixed blade. However, around a campsite you'll be surprised how often you lend a knife out, leaving you without a cutting edge. Enter the Pinch backup neck knife to save the day.

This svelte skeletonized design measures under 3.5" overall, yet it packs a 1.3" Wharncliffe cutting edge for a surprising amount of cutting power. It's made of 1095 high carbon steel with a black oxide stonewashed finish that is subtle and hard-wearing. The best part of the knife, by far, is the "Earth Magnet" sheath. It uses a rare earth magnet to provide the retention which enables the knife to easily fit and stay positioned in the sheath with great retention yet it is still easy to get to and draw in a pinch. We love the ergonomics and ease of use of this design, it's no wonder so many were eagerly awaiting its arrival.

I love it !
Yes, the plastic sheath is different, you cannot use it when metal is nearby and in a busy environment (like with a lot of items nearby, a keyring). But if you wear it like around the neck, on the belt, it will be ok ….The thing is: it is perfect in the hand ! The cutting edge is there to cut everything you present in front of it !The only think I think to want for and on it is some serrations on top for the thumb and and be able to buy a secondary kydex sheath (if not,I’ll do it both myself)

Great knife for survival pack
I am avid Esee knife buyer. I like the fact it is made in the USA and the attention to detail is a plus. I put this in a small survival bag on my flak vest. I like that it is very small but very sharp and the sheath is a very strong magnet and it covers the edge. This knife is small enough to put in a very small tin even in a wallet but can do the job of a large knife in a “ pinch”. Will not weigh you down or be cumbersome. I recommend this to anyone for a have to have knife on key rings , ladies purse, neck knife, wallet or survival bag. It also is just very cool. 😎
