Description

SLEALTG: Ally Fixed Blade - Tiffany Blue G10

StraightLine EDC

The Ally is a compact EDC fixed blade knife based on a drawing by Allegra, the daughter of Igor Bortolussi. The design reflects Allegra’s character, blending smooth lines and rounded shapes to convey her sweet and kind nature, while its razor-sharp edge underscores a hint of unexpected strength.

The knife is equipped with the Smart Mag Sheath, which offers versatile carry options thanks to dual magnets on the back. This innovative sheath allows the knife to be carried deeply within the pocket for a discreet profile or with a portion of the handle exposed for quicker, easier access. Transitioning between these positions is effortless and can be accomplished while the sheath remains in the pocket, simply by sliding the outer lace.

With its thoughtful design and practical features, the Ally delivers both charm and cutting performance, making it a standout choice for everyday carry. This model features premium Bohler M390 stainless steel with a sleek satin finish and grippy Tiffany Blue G10 handles.

Great idea, doesn't quite work.
I carry front right pocket. Rides really nice, looks great. I added a lanyard, really helps and was easy to do. One issue. The double magnets for the 2 position carry doesn't execute. The 2 positions work great. But, ... when putting the knife back in the sheath the magnet(s) grab the blade and does not allow the knife to easily be put back in the sheath. I've carried for a month now and it's improved a little.

Great first effort
I have average-size adult male hands and this is about a 3 1/2 finger grip for me. Meaning, I can *just* fit 4 fingers, but I wouldn't want to use it that way because my front finger would ride up onto the blade in use, so in practice this is a 3 finger grip with the pointer finger on top of the blade spine.Pros:- blade stock is thin enough for good slicing- compact size, light weight, never feels "too big" in your pocket- uncommon wharncliffe/sheepsfoot blade design- sheath design is great- sheath leather is high quality- unique colors offered. I like the teal color.- slicey blade grind- fit and finish is excellent on both knife and sheath, zero warping, etc.- arrived very sharpThings to improve:- not "bad" but the sheath color bleeds onto the scales slightly- sheath magnets could be a bit stronger- for this type of knife I'd prefer something that is easier to sharpen than M390. N690, 154CM, etc. would be fineAlso just for reference, the sheath cannot fit an ESEE Izula II. I tried, Izula's blade is just ever so slightly too wide. I think this sheath would be amazing on its own if it could fit more small knives.Overall a great first effort from this maker, I hope they continue to refine their designs, I think they have something great here.
