An honored member of Spyderco's elite family of knives featuring premium CPM S110V blade steel, this Military Model sports textured G10 handle scales in the family's distinctive dark blue hue.
A cornerstone in Spyderco's Save and Serve line up, the Military Model came about after someone asked Spyderco's owner Sal Glesser, "If your son were going into the military, what folding knife would you send him with?" For certain, it had to meet the requirements of a high-performance, lightweight folder designed for hard use.
The 'Millie' has a modified clip-point blade laser cut with a 14 mm Spyderco Round Hole for quick deployment and for use with gloves. Texturing above the hole hold the thumb in contact with the blade's spine during cutting for confident control over the sharpened edge. The handle scales are G10 with the lock's liner nested (inlayed) directly into the scale, pumping up lock strength without the addition of bulky liners. Spacers between the scales create a gap running the handle's full length exposing the inside workings for inspection and cleaning. The handle flares slightly at the front end creating a finger choil and at the butt end, which keeps the knife from slipping forward or backward in the hand while sawing or making tough or aggressive cuts. A contoured black metal clip is set for right-hand tip-down carry.

Perfect size for my EDC
Love this knife. My EDC for about a year or more. Para 2 was just a little small for me. The military is a much better fit. The s110v steel gets sharp and stays sharp. I find the point of this knife to be incredibly useful. Strong, pointy, super sharpTo be honest, I didn’t really want the “Blurple” color, but at the time I bought the knife I couldn’t find one in black G10. All that being said, the Blurple has grown on me. Would definitely buy this color again. I have a ton of knives, including many Spydercos. This classic just gets it right.

Very nice, but not for me.
I had the 4” M390 Steel knife and was lost. Bought this. I do not like the liner lock. I especially, for the price they could’ve drilled a few more holes for left handed, hole up. 4” is legal in NYC. Sadly, going back. Why did they cut corners???.

Fantastic knife
This was my 3rd Millie. I carried it far more than the other two(one was a limited m4 with jade/green scales, the other s90v with Bento Blue) I love the color and the steel. The m4 steel is too much of a hassle to sharpen and the Bento blue lost 2 screws in a month (my fault for sure) I did wind up snapping the blade on this one (being dumb and stabbed a broken TV because *reasons*) . I am getting another one soon. This knife has lived up to every expectation I have had. I am a big guy and this knife is my sized. The steel sharpens easily enough with the basic Lansky Sharpening System and if you decide to go the extra mile and polish the edge you can tree-top hair easily.
