The Ladybug 3 Salt is nearly as small as your car keys and carries just as easily. Its lightweight FRN (fiberglass reinforced nylon) handle is coated with Bi-Directional Texturing for slip-resistant cutting. It comes in stand-out Marine Yellow and easy to spot if dropped in water or on the ground.
The ultra-corrosion-resistant H-1 steel hollow ground blade is available in a SpyderEdge or PlainEdge configuration. The LYL is clipless with a lanyard hole to string a keychain or lanyard through. Whether light or heavy cutting, the Ladybug Salt is a compact firecracker with explosive cutting ability in a small package that is incredibly corrosion resistant.
In early 2023, Spyderco announced a rolling change for their Salt series. Originally produced in H1 stainless steel, the Salt series is being transitioned to H2 stainless steel which provides increased corrosion resistance. The original H1 version may still be shipping. If you have a specific steel preference, please include a note in the comments section at checkout for which steel you prefer. Lockback
The lockback system has been used for many decades. It can usually be found on the knife spine and it provides a strong lockup that will wear well.

This knife is being used as a pocket knife mostly while fishing and it fits the bill well. The blade was sharp enough to pop hair and locks securely. My only gripe is that one hand opening takes some practice if you have “slightly larger than average” hands.
