Description
SPMBKWPBK: MBKWPBK Manbug Wharncliffe Black
Spyderco
Spyderco's incredibly popular Manbug packs big-knife cutting performance into a diminutive package small enough to fit on a keychain. Now, this pocket powerhouse is also available with a Wharncliffe blade. The perfectly straight cutting edge of its full-flat ground VG10 stainless steel blade offers phenomenal edge geometry and an exceptionally acute point. It is housed in a lightweight, injection-molded handle featuring non-slip Bi-Directional Texturing and a reliable back lock mechanism.
From a functional standpoint, knives with coated blades are most relevant to the needs of tactical users concerned with light discipline. Truth be told, though, many knife fans simply prefer the aesthetics of black blades. The black-bladed Manbug Wharncliffe is the perfect pocket companion for this crowd, offering the impressive cutting performance of a Wharncliffe blade cloaked in a non-reflective titanium carbonitride (TiCN) coating.

Superb value
Small, locking pocketknives have many advantages and capabilities over larger edc knives. Adding a VG10 wharncliffe to a tiny knife is superior, in that the entire blade responds predictably with the same force and at the same angle. This is very important in tight spots and in rescue situations, where predictability of depth and force of cut mean the difference between saving a life or losing one. Small blades cut shallow, and this fact is such an advantage in so many applications. The manbug wharnecliff is a hidden powerhouse of dependable utility. It holds such a keen edge, but is surprisingly simple to sharpen. The lock is very strong, but keep the lock point clean of sand and lint so it will lock consistently. The handle texture keeps it deep in your pocket. This knife is a gem.
