It has a tensile strength of 6638.78 lbf (3011.3 kgf), a bending strength of 4055.84lbf (1839.7 kgf) and a textured and raised rubber handle. Included is a black 1680 denier outer shell belt sheath.

I LIKE IT
It's small and easy to carry and when open it's like having a pipe in your hand. If you can't discourage someone from attacking you then you aren't trying. Oh, AND DON'T OIL THE BATON. Too much oil prevents it from locking open firmly. I had to disassemble it and wipe off the oil and now it functions as it should. Who would've thought you can over-oil something?

Great Baton
I use this product while out on the field for work. Easy to carry and you can never go wrong with a smith and Wesson product. The handle is comfortable and ready to use at any time.
