Tuff Writer SPECIAL MISSION PENS are limited variations and designs that exist beyond the normal TUFF Pen core design concepts and catalog models.

The Mk2 (pronounced "Mark Two") is the stoutest tool in the TUFF Pen lineup. Like all Tuff Pens, it is entirely modular, with each component being easily replaceable and built to last a lifetime.

The core utilizes an all-metal body machined out of solid titanium. The Ti construction mixed with the heavy-duty design of the Mk2 makes for a large, yet agile writing experience. If you like a substantial pen, look absolutely no further. The increased body diameter gives great ergonomics to the design, making for a very comfortable writing posture. The tip is made of the same material, giving a consistent balance along the length of the pen. Extra flutes in the tip give a subtle grip when holding there, and add to the Mk2's robust demeanor.

The Mk2 features the EXAKTFIT adjustable ink cartridge spacer. This lets you dial in how much of the ink cartridge tip extends out of the pen tip (and lets you overcome some ink maker's lack of manufacturing tolerances). 

The Mk2 is equipped with a milled Titanium TUFF Clip, which variation with a hand-satin finish. The TUFF Clip profile makes for easy and fast one-handed clipping, strong retention, and looks impressive to boot.

The Mk2 has no external O-rings for a smooth and classic look. It feels great in the hand and writes like a dream. One of the special features of the Mk2 is that instead of a standard one-piece body, the body features dual-metal construction. This variation has been configured with a brushed satin copper sleeve that rests directly above the tip. This component looks great and adds a bit of tip-ward weight, making for an excellent writing experience.

All Special Mission Press Pens feature an engraved Press Mech, a final extra touch denoting its special configuration.

The Press Mech: These Pens feature our famous 416SS machined "Press" advancing mechanism. The two-piece bearing-cam design makes for a silky smooth operation (so smooth, it doesn’t even "click"). Works like a normal click pen, but is built to last a lifetime of real-world use and abuse.

PLEASE NOTE - Each Pen is hand-finished. The exact texturing and satin look on various parts will be different pen to pen. Product photos are representative of the pen you will get, but there will be small differences. Also note that copper will patina and change over time to tell its own story. These elements have a raw satin finish, so the patina will develop pretty quickly once you start to handle them. If you do not like the nature of copper materials and how they WILL change over time, do not get a copper pen. If you want a pen that will be completely unique and whose story will change over time as you use and carry it, look no further.
