This piece is a beast, thanks master Voxnaes
I use this fantastic blade for EVERYTHING, all day every day. I enjoy it so much that I find reasons to use it. Jesper Voxnaes has to be one of my favorite designers. Also keep in mind that this is my first M390 blade so this might explain why I might be overly impressed. Everything about this knife is outstanding. The fit and finish is as sleek as any other high end Italian made products. The scales are not just an overlay, they are actual carbon fiber slabs. The entire piece is crowned except for the actual edge, feels fantastic without gloves. The geometry of the blade makes it excellent for most tasks ranging from package opening to food prep to "bushcrafty" stuff. Although a bit stocky to be a slicer the perfect grind combined with a sick edge makes it work effortlessly . Amongst other things I cut through a 2" diameter, 1" thick walled "card board" shipping tube without any tear in 5 cuts. I also husked 3 young coconuts (and was still sharp enough for food prep after). The ergos of the somewhat long handle along with the short yeah beefy blade gives you amazing leverage on hard push cuts. Even the carry system, which is often a problem with "budget" higher end knives, is pretty good and I don't intend to change it for now. This knife is a beast, I wish I could have DCA review it
