How does the Blade Lock work on the CRKT Walker?
The CRKT Walker uses a Blade Lock mechanism where the thumb stud serves as both the opener and the lock release. Pushing down on the thumb stud disengages the lock so the blade can rotate closed, and the system also secures the blade firmly in the closed position.
Is the CRKT Walker manual or assisted opening?
Current production CRKT Walker knives are entirely manual opening. While older models from decades past featured assisted mechanisms, the modern revival relies on smooth manual operation without spring assistance.
