The Basic-3 is a spear point blade with a full flat grind for optimal slicing efficiency, and it is the only model in the series to feature a protruding tang at the butt end for light hammering and increased outdoor utility.

The Viper Basic series is available in three distinct material configurations to suit different performance needs and budgets. The entry-tier models feature stonewashed Bohler D2 steel paired with green or black canvas Micarta handles. Moving up, you can opt for a stonewashed CPM-MagnaCut steel blade with canvas Micarta handles. The premium configuration offers a satin-finished MagnaCut blade with marbled carbon fiber handle scales.

Every knife in the Viper Basic series comes with a Kydex sheath equipped with a highly adjustable belt attachment from Vega Holster. This attachment features a rotating locking tab to keep it secure, along with numerous hole spacings and dual slots to accommodate various mounting angles. If you prefer to swap the stock mount for a standard Tech-Lok, the sheath's hole spacing is fully compatible.
