White River Camp Cleaver

The White River Camp Cleaver is built using CPM S35VN stainless steel with a stonewashed finish. This high-end steel offers a great combination of edge retention and toughness, which is essential for a tool designed for both slicing and light chopping.

The Camp Cleaver is not optimized for scraping a fire steel because the spine and protruding tang are rounded for comfort. While this makes the knife more ergonomic for pounding or heavy pressure, it lacks the sharp 90-degree edges needed to strike sparks from a ferrocerium rod.

The series features several handle variations, primarily utilizing burlap or linen Micarta in colors such as natural, OD green, and black. These scales are bolted on and contoured to lock into the hand, providing comfort and security even without a traditional finger guard.

The Camp Cleaver excels at skinning thanks to its deep belly and high flat grind. The blade geometry is optimized for slicing, and the tip is positioned near the center line to provide better control during detailed cutting or bushcraft tasks.

Every White River Camp Cleaver comes with a premium leather sheath. The sheath is constructed from thick, high-quality leather with a polished finish, offering a secure and durable carry system for the 5.5-inch blade.
