ACU1848PNTG: Cazador Flipper Knife, Translucent Green G10

The term Cazador means "hunter" in Spanish, and the Cazador flipper from Artisan certainly evokes the feeling of a predator. The claw-like Wharncliffe blade is made from AR-RPM9 steel and gives a lot of cutting surface and a sharp piercing point. The curve from the spine of the blade is carried down into the handle in an uninterrupted line and reinforces the profile of a claw. The G10 handle scales taper down to the end to continue the profile but are comfortable in the hand despite this. The large pivot on the knife contains ceramic ball bearings in the assembly which allows the blade to fly open when you engage the flipper tab. The knife locks up with sturdy liners and comes with an anodized titanium pocket clip. AR-RPM9 is CJRB and Artisan Cutlery's proprietary budget steel made with a powder metallurgy process.

G10 Handles
Formed in a sheet under high pressure by combining fiberglass and an epoxy resin binder. These handles are lightweight and shaped to ensure a solid grip.
This knife is a good looking blade that also holds a razors edge. The Wharncliffe blade gives superior cutting ability, especially when a precision cut is called for. The lockup is tight and solid. The tip is needle like and while good for penetration this is not something you would try to pry with. The flipping action is good but not as quick as I would like. The handle is comfortable and plenty big enough for my hand. Overall this blade has become a favorite on my EDC rotation. It’s looks will always make it a conversation piece to those who see it.
