Artisan Cutlery
The term Cazador means "hunter" in Spanish, and the Cazador flipper from Artisan certainly evokes the feeling of a predator. The claw-like Wharncliffe blade is made from AR-RPM9 steel and gives a lot of cutting surface and a sharp piercing point. The curve from the spine of the blade is carried down into the handle in an uninterrupted line and reinforces the profile of a claw. The micarta handle scales taper down to the end to continue the profile but are comfortable in the hand despite this. The large pivot on the knife contains ceramic ball bearings in the assembly which allows the blade to fly open when you engage the flipper tab. The knife locks up with sturdy liners and comes with an anodized titanium pocket clip. AR-RPM9 is CJRB and Artisan Cutlery's proprietary budget steel made with a powder metallurgy process.
