Description

ADKFBTBK: FREEREIGN Tanto Fixed Blade - Black

Demko Knives

This FREEREIGN Tanto fixed blade was designed by Andrew Demko to be your go-to hard-use tactical tool. He specifically chose the shape for this platform, very reminiscent of the AD15 but with a distinctly longer and more capable blade, for its all-around versatility. You have a relatively compact handle - in relation to the blade - and it's both extremely comfortable and extremely durable.

The knife includes a patent-pending molded plastic sheath design that allows you to sheath and carry it exactly how you like. Included is a nylon belt loop for vertical carry that can easily be configured for scout carry or accept all current belt adapters on the market. The Demko boys thought of everything with this sheath and while it may be simple, it's easily one of the selling points of this knife. As we all know, a good knife without a good sheath isn't going to get carried often so we're glad to see something fitting for such a quality knife. We love the clean look of this design and its wide, beefy blade with a stout handle that both seem like they can handle anything. This is the hard-use combat knife you've been looking for and it won't break the bank. Well done Andrew and John.

Impressive and handy
I got the Armiger 4 first and wasn't impressed at first: it felt a little like a toy and had a toy-feeling sheath. I did get around to carrying it for a while and learned that the sheath is pretty easy to get the knife in and out of as sheaths go. After that, I was looking for a bigger apocalypse-surviving knife, but not as big and heavy as the Becker Campanion or Crewman. It was the sheath that drew me toward the Freereign. I own a lot of knives, but this is the first one that made me feel confident that I could quickly whip it out and use it for defense. The knife is thick enough in all the right places that the AUS 10 should be perfectly adequate against breakage. I'm not a fan of the rubber handle: I go G-10 whenever I can. I liked it. It has no top guard and that the jumping is not so sharp to tear up your thumb. This is a really good do-everything knife. (Except maybe slicing a block of cheese.)

Great knife
This knife has s great handle to blade ratio making manipulations great. Be advised this is aus 10. Its not a go camping etc knife. It is very sturdy and can handle tough jobs but i bought it to appendix carry and save my life. Its light quick and sharp as he**. It will serve you well as a light duty camper but especially as a fighter. If you're looking for a knife to live off the grid no but if you're looking for a light chores and self defense knife its perfect.
