Very Spartan leaning
So they call this a Smatchet however once you pick it up and swing it around you'll get a very Lakonia vibe from it,I can see pairing it with a shield and becoming an unholy terror in close combat.The scabbard is solid,maybe a bit odd the way they have the belt strap attached,odder still that a kydex sheath needs a safety snap...however you can still remove the strap with a screwdriver and hook it up to other more sensible belt attachments so it's fairly moot.Comes plenty sharp,seems to cut pretty good but this thing is more than anything made to stab with,being double edged and wide as a shovel will leave a nasty mess behind when you jam it into a target.Overall a very nice update to the smatchet and a pretty real "tactical" version of the Spartan short sword.
