The Telum is based on the custom Arrowtac Dagger by Bastien Coves, the man behind Bastinelli Creations. It's a compact fixed blade with seemingly endless uses from hunting to EDC to last-ditch self-defense. It is extremely solid, easy to wield, and double edge so no matter how you strike at an assailant, you'll have a sharp one making good contact. One of these edges is partially serrated with the same serrations you'll find on Spyderco Knives which are some of the best around. It gives this arrow-shaped dagger blade a bit more versatility, especially around fibrous material.
And then there's the sheath. You'll never find a good knife that you want to carry each and every day that has a crappy sheath. It just won't happen. A sheath on a fixed blade is just as important as its grip, and if it's big, bulky, rattles, etc., you're just not going to carry it. This one, with input from Tracker Dan including his Gen 2 TD clip, is just excellent. The knife slides in and out with ease yet retains nice and snugly and is designed for safe storage even when affixed inside the waistband or a boot. The only thing it's not set up for is horizontal carry but a pull the dot strap would solve that issue if that's your preferred carry method. We're astounded how quickly we've warmed up to the Telum, it's not your usual fixed blade and that might just be the best thing about it.
