Description

MWSERAPHYMS30V: Seraphym

Mercworx

The Seraphym is a superbly engineered push dagger. Designed as a fast-into play, last line of defense, the Seraphym stands out among push daggers as a result of its ergonomic, positive grip.

The Seraphym's positive grip negates the tendency for push daggers to yaw in the high stress, Murphy's Law world of combat, the last thing you want is to be fumbling for a no-slip grip when the balloon goes up. It's clear that the Seraphym was designed with just such a scenario in mind.

Cons: Sheath/Scabbard, None
Beautiful Blade, awful sheath
My wife gave me this knife for Christmas 3 or 4 years ago, and I love the knife. The fit and finish of the knifes itself is equal to custom work from a good Smith, which, ask I understand it, this essentially is. The sheath, sad to say, is another story. I carried the knife for a couple of months (at most) before the belt loop for the sheath broke off. Rather than using a Tec-Loc for the belt attachment, which would have cost them $15, they simply folded over part of the rear panel of the sheath to make a loop. This quickly stretched out of shape, and broke off in a couple of months. Recently, I bought a large Tec-Loc that fits the unbroken part of the sheath, though that was a near thing. The knife itself is top quality, and worth the $325, but the sheath is not worthy of the blade. If they'd just done this right to begin with, and used the Tec-Loc, I'd give the knife five stars without hesitation . but I feel that withthem falling down on the job this badly with the sheath, I just can't rank it that high.
