MWSHIVAS30V: Mercworx Shiva S30VMERCWORX SHIVA with S30V Premium Stainless Steel Blade - HANDCRAFTED IN THE USA Mercworx knives are designed to ride on the hips of men who use them everyday as their essential survival tool. Each Mercworx knife is handcrafted by one artisan. The Shiva is a beautiful, bilaterally symmetrical double edged dagger, with a 6.5 inch blade. Ostensibly designed for the same mission parameters as the legendary Fairbairn-Sykes Commando Knife, it has a number of significant design improvements which broaden its functional scope considerably. Most notable perhaps, is the handle, which flares out from a gentle lemon-drop to a knob-like pommel, which greatly facilitates a firm grip, and almost eliminates the problem of rolling in the palm, when the blade is subjected to torquing stress. The blade is hand ground from 1/4 inch stock, and the geometry of the double hollow ground edges make them both striking in appearance and singularly functional. The Shiva gives you the best attributes of a stabbing pike and a straight razor. The ideal combat blade---deeply thought through, superbly made.
As a longtime collector, I've found the Mercworx SHIVA 6.5" Double Edged S30V Blade to be unrivaled in its category and certainly would consider it my first choice for combat carry. Frankly, I discarded the sheath provided, in favor of a custom made heavy-leather one---easier for me to use and to understand. A good kydex sheath could have worked fine, as well. However, the Mercworx SHIVA's full-tang, double-edged blade and solid palm-grip are so superbly crafted that it elevates this dagger to the leader in combat knives now commercially available anywhere.

natural feel
As soon as I picked it up it felt so great with proportions and weight. Only downside might be its sheath its more utilitarian rather than being focused for combat. Well worth the money if your looking for a great dagger to carry.
