Benchmade offers this model as their first issue of a flipper knife. Combined with the Axis lock, this makes for a great pocketknife. The flipper allows for immediate and lightning fast opening action. The Axis locking system is super strong and also allows for easy, one handed unlocking and closing. The actions of flicking your wrist with your finger on the flipper or the lock to open and close this knife will soon feel perfectly natural and you will wonder how you ever had a different system. The textured G10 handles are also great on these and give good grip in all conditions as well as a nice look! The blade shape is nice on these with a nice "belly" on the flat ground blade. The "belly" means it has a lot of curve and this really allows you to use all parts of the edge while other blade shapes may encourage you to use a particular area of the cutting edge. The pocket clip is reversible and is made for deep pocket carry with the tip up. We really like this model and feel that it will serve you well as an every day carry knife for just about any task you set in front of it.
