Benchmade mini Osborn bought new march 2023
In march 2023 I was in Florida on vacation with my parents and we went to the local bass pro shop and it was actually my birthday at the time so my parents bought me the Benchmade mini Osborn it’s actually one of my favorite knives to carry especially since my parents bought it for me it’s not a constant every day carry but I’ve used it several times and I’m really impressed with the S30V steel I haven’t had to sharpen it yet but can’t wait to try sharpening the s 30v steel because it’s something that I’ve never done before and I’m kinda curious to learn and see how it is to sharpen it I only sharpen using regular sharpening stones because it’s the way I was taught by my grandfather using antique Arkansas sharpening stones that belonged to his father and now I have those sharpening stones and use them frequently when sharpening because they remind me of my grandfather. I have a total of six benchmade knives now and really like the brand and the fact that they are American made in Oregon they are expensive because of the type of steel they use. I have used it for opening packages and boxes and it’s hardly made it dull at all.

Almost excellent right out of the box
I have purchased multiple Bugouts, Griptilians, and a Super Freek, all were sharp right out of the box! This one won’t cut paper, but everything else is awesome! I heard that BM had issues with their QC, it looks like that is still the case… will keep and sharpen…

Arguably the ideal EDC
Everything about this knife is high end, maybe not highest end, but design, lock, blade steel and shape, handle materials, action, blade size...Yes there are better steels, different handles, nicer grips, but overall just a sweet knife.Only negative is price, but it just ticks every box, and if you're only getting one knife OR if you don't mind that high price, can't really go wrong here imho.
