Description
BO02HY003: Boker History Knife & Tool Sleeve Dagger
Boker Plus
The Sleeve Dagger, also known as the Bodkin or Nail Dagger, was created by the British secret service, SOE (Special Operations Executive), during World War II for covert operations in civilian environments. Its one-piece design, crafted from a single cylindrical steel section without a parrying element, allowed for discreet carrying and served as an escape tool if the wielder was captured. Produced in small batches by various craftsmen—often by a London jeweler experienced in making letter openers—the dagger features a triangular ground blade and handles that could be round or slightly rectangular, with surface options ranging from smooth to textured.
The HKT Sleeve Dagger is made from historically accurate GCr15 bearing steel with a dark acid wash finish for an antique look. The blade is sharpened on three sides and includes hollow grooves, while the handle features checkering and grooves for improved grip. Accompanied by a brown leather sheath with a long strap and pin buckle for secure, concealed carrying on the forearm or leg, the dagger reflects the original design's functionality and discreet elegance.
