CS36MF: 36MF Drop Forged Battle Ring 2

Cold Steel

If you're relying on your knife in a self-defense emergency, you shouldn't need to fumble around to access it or risk having it wrested away. If that's your situation, consider the Cold Steel Drop Forged Battle Ring II. It is drop forged, like the other knives in this series from a single piece of steel, has twin razor-sharp edges with a needlepoint, an integral guard, and a finger ring. Its grip is sized for nearly any hand, and it's precisely contoured to prevent slipping. It can accommodate eight different grip styles, and it's easy and quick to draw when you're in a hurry. Plus, it has the strength to double as a skull crusher or "iron knuckle". It comes with a cut resistant, Secure-Ex sheath that features a state of the art Ulti-Clip attachment, making it a steadfast companion you don't want to be without.

Cons: Weight
No complaints!
I’ve trained in both Native American and Asian knife fighting styles for years. This particular piece is modeled after the Japanese Kunai; both a fighting knife and throwing weapon. Compared to others of its kind I can honestly say this is the strongest and toughest version I’ve ever trained with. The balance is great for fighting and the handle is easy to change grips. It’s very effective for short range throws (5-10ft.) but the weight requires more practice for longer distances. The complaints about the handle comfort are petty. I just wrapped mine in nylon cordage and it feels fine. For the price, I’m extremely satisfied with this knife and recommend it to anyone who enjoys knife training and/or having a reliable EDC defensive blade.

Great self defense dagger, but....
I own over 20+ cold steel products, I am a true fan of their products. My problem with this specific unit is that it's too big and uncomfortable. I have regular size to large size hands, and even for me there's just to much wiggle room. I suppose if you were wearing gloves it would help? I just can't seem to get a comfortable grip on it, no matter if it's reverse grip or forward grip. The quality is great, in the collection it will go, but not for concealed carry as I wanted.

Pros: Blade Sharpness
Cons: Weight, Materials
Not a neck knife
Great blade. Thought I could remove the clip on the sheath and wear it as a neck knife. With that bottom rivet on the sheath, if you grind it off, you’ll never use the clip again. Heavy knife.
