Boker
Boker's reissue of the Applegate-Fairbairn Fighting Knife uses Fiberglass Delrin handle, thickened in the center for a sure grip. A lanyard hole adds convenience. The handle meets a short, forward-bending cross guard that protects the fingers. Boker achieved the knife's preferred rearward balance by inserting steel weights into the handle - a beautifully ergonomic design. The 6" blade on this 10-3/4" knife has effective reach, with a 1" wide blade that's beefy all the way to the tip. Struck of Solingen 440C stainless steel hardened to a Rockwell of 58. Includes Kydex sheath and belt clip adapter.

Great blade!
I have two of these now, and all I can say is that they are great. The balance, shape, ergonomics, etc... this is hands doen one of the best daggers I have ever handled. (Not to mention good looking) The grind on both of mine was completely crisp and straight, and they both have a good edge. I was a little worried about the tang, but after taking mine apart it turns out it almost has a full tang as it is thick and wide and stops just before the lanyard hole, so this knife will be extremely durable and unlike some daggers is actually functional as a utility knife as well. The recent price jumps aren't really fair to the consumer, but I don't regret buying this knife, it is a classic and holds its own against similary priced daggers. And knifecenter had great service as always of course. Thank you!

Good knife for the price.
I like the weight and balance. It is only 2 ounces lighter than my kabar ek44 but it feels like it's half the weight. Flips grip nicely, flicks out easily on the backhand. Thumb groves are in the right spot for fencing with a saber grip and feels just as secure in a reverse grip. Not quite as sharp as a fighting knife should be but sharper than most factory blades. Mine came with a bur on the screw in the handle which needed to be sanded down but I guess at this price point quality control can't be perfect. Sheath is fantastic and worth all of the markings on the coating from drawing it. I also like stainless for a blade like this since the edge isn't likely to see a lot of work and you don't need to worry about keeping it oiled so it doesn't rust out in the sheath.
