Description
BTKBG56B1: BG56B-1 Slasher Folding Knife, Stonewashed, Green Canvas Micarta
Bestech Knives
Another solid entry into Bestech's line, the Slasher is one beast of a folding knife. The D2 tool steel blade has a sweeping sheepsfoot design with a decent amount of belly and a smooth profile. The blade deploys quickly and smoothly thanks to the ceramic ball bearings in the pivot assembly that Bestech has perfected. The handle scales are made from durable micarta that has a lightly textured finish that gives a solid grip. A large finger groove and smooth bevels add to the already great ergonomics of this knife. Bestech's version of the crossbar lock provides rock-solid lockup and is easily disengaged with either hand. The deep carry wire pocket clip perfectly finishes this powerhouse of a folding knife. This model features green canvas Micarta handles and a stonewashed blade. This larger rendition of the original Slasher series will easily become one of your new favorites because it's reliable, easy to use, and just an all around fantastic knife.

Cons: None
Wonderful EDC
This knife is more than a great bargain for what you get-it really is a great knife regardless of price. It is very sturdy and well made with a great blade made for hard work. It has a very smooth opening and closing and you can open/close it using the crossbar locking system. As the previous writer stated the wire pocket clip is well done and a welcome change from the usual pocket clip. The handles are on the thick side but very grippable and contoured well. I have considered buying the smaller version with the 3" blade as well and may do so. This knife always brings a smile to my face when I pick up as it just feels right in my hand. Don't hesitate to get one if you are considering it.

Couldn't resist at the sale price
The improved version of the Slasher at about $50 was a no brainier for me. I have two flipper Bestech knives and they are awesome, so a crossbar lock Bestech was a must have. Typical Bestech fit and finish - silky smooth action, razor sharp blade, quality Micarta scales, and of course a very nice looking design overall. Not to mention the new wire pocket - a first for me - is a welcome change from the usual clips. She's a keeper for sure.
