Description
CIVC21004B2: C21004B-2 Ben Petersen Sendy Spey Point Folding Knife - Black G10
CIVIVI Knives
Much like your favorite Swiss Army Knife, the Sendy by Ben Petersen includes a toothpick and tweezers stashed away inside the handle. Its reversible pocket clip and sub-three-inch blade make it a viable EDC for everyone and the jimping on the lockbar and blade spine are functional as well as handsome. Available in two blade shapes, both feature a compact flipper that really launches the blade out. Another beautiful design from Ben.

Impressed!
I was looking for a traditionally styled knife, and this also has 2 tools I use quite frequently like with my Victorinox knives. I think the flipper tab/action and G10 handle texture is my favorite out of all those I own. The designer seems to have a great reputation in the industry, and now I can understand why. This was my first design of his, and first Civivi. Definitely won’t be my last of either. It came with 3 stickers, a microfiber cloth, and a zippered pouch which are nice touches. Putting this one on my gift list!

Lots to like, but…
I really wanted to like this knife. I am a Victorinox guy. Love to have a toothpick handy, hate stuff in my teeth. Loved the thought of having a good gentlemanly knife with an incorporated toothpick and tweezers. I’m glad I bought it on sale, because it was kind of disappointing. The toothpick and tweezer feel quality, didn’t realize the toothpick was metal, but it works. The knife is heavy compared to the size of the blade. Those steel liners add a lot of weight and the blade feels small by comparison. The flipping action is also weak and takes some adjustment and practice to deploy it consistently. Every time I have handed it to someone new they try the flipper and get only a partial deployment. The materials and quality are good. The toothpick and tweezers are a novelty and the overall package doesn’t seem to work.

Sendy Claus
I purchased this, in part, for the toothpick and tweezers. I also like Ben's designs. I would never use the metal shaft to pick my teeth, Thr tweezers work well. I have no issues with it. I agree with DCA , nitro-V is aa good steel. I just wish that the HT would take this to an HRC of 60+. It was in my pocket before this writing. If I want a big knife, I would deploy my PM2 in S90V or my Formax Scout.
