CJBJ1912SBKC: Small Feldspar Folding Knife, Black G10

CJRB Cutlery

The Feldspar puts ergonomics at the forefront of its design, making for a knife that is comfortable to use all day. Its smaller size and shape allow it to excel at everyday carry type utility tasks and remain out of the way until needed. The contoured CNC machined G10 handle slides in and out of the pocket with ease and allows for quick access to the liner lock mechanism. The blade has plenty of belly for slicing and a pointy tip for stabbing and puncturing. A small sharpening choil, reversible deep carry pocket clip, and lanyard hole are just icing on the cake at this price and we highly recommend this smaller Feldspar to you as your go-to daily carry.

Quality edc at a low price
I bought this knife because of its D2 steel and low price. I cut a lot of paper, tape, and cardboard in my work and string, rope and straw and such . It deploys easily for me. The initial detent is fairly strong but once the blade gets moving, it pops right open. Came hair popping sharp and has remained so after a lot of paper cutting. It is comfortable in the hand and the pocket and deploys, for me, pretty easily. Bearings are slick and smooth. It's not custom quality but it looks good and I like it. Oh. It locks up real tight.

Mixed Bag
The CJRB small Feldspar is my fourth knife by CJRB, and the first sub 3" knife from this company. Given how much I enjoyed the other three CJRB knives I own, I had high hopes for this one. It checks a lot of boxes: great blade material, grip material, price, and size. I have a blade length restriction at my work and can't have a knife with a blade over 3". I had intended for this to become my EDC knife. Yes, 'had' intended...What kills this knife is the amount of pressure on the thumb stud that is required to deploy this knife. Once the blade finally deploys, your thumb chases the blade and often comes close - or does - contact the blade edge. The design of this knife is almost dangerous. Unfortunately, instead of being an EDC knife, it will get put back in its box and forgotten about.
