The Camillus Barber 7" Folding Knife is their take on an old classic. Inspired by the original design of a barber's straight razor, but elevated to the Camillus standard of strength and durability, Camillus chose to combine a Glass-Filled Nylon handle and 440 Steel Blade to create a well rounded, robust folding knife with the stylistic flair of a straight razor. The 440 steel takes a nice edge and is fairly easy to re-sharpen, and it is bonded with Titanium for added resistance against rust and corrosion. On top of this, it makes the blade 3x harder than untreated steel so the clean edge of the 440 steel can be maintained with fewer instances of re-sharpening. The handle is made of Glass Filled Nylon, a material that is used in many of their knives due to the secure grip it creates. To achieve this rigidity, they add glass-filled materials to polypropylene, ABS, and other substrates.
