CR7097: Richard Rogers 7097 CEO Flipper

Columbia River (CRKT)

A knife that's dressed for success. At first glance, it could be mistaken for a pen tucked into a shirt pocket. And that's exactly the way the CEO Flipper folding knife was designed. With a supremely low profile and no corners cut on usability and ergonomics, it embodies the working spirit of everyday carry.

Known for his clean, simple, highly-usable designs, Richard Rogers releases another formidable knife from his shop in the scrubby hills of Magdalena, New Mexico. Created with dress shirt pockets and v-neck scrubs in mind, the slim, low-profile CEO Flipper poses as a pen until a sealed letter needs opening or a suit needs a finishing touch. With lubed ball bearings in the pivot to reduce friction, a prominent flipper sets IKBS in motion, smoothly deploying the satin-finished stainless steel blade. A locking liner keeps it securely in place between the sleek and strong glass-reinforced nylon handle.

The CEO: pairs best with an extra dark roast and a long to-do list.

Ultimate pocket knife
The CRKT 7097 is the prefect pocket knife in my opinion. The ergonomics, feels like a marker or icepick. Very solid handle that fits perfectly in the void of your fingers when you make a fist. The opening is a solid and satisfying click. Closing is a very positive thunk that sucks the blade closed, chef's kiss. The integrated pocket clip that creates a wonderful feeling flat polished end cap is perfect, and very sturdy. Overall feel is extremely fidget friendly. Blade material is very high quality, easily sharpened and maintained. It also holds an edge really well. The liner lock is extremely strong with no wiggle whatsoever. You'd be hard pressed to defeat it without hurting yourself. The build quality is outstanding for the price, honestly it feels like a $200 knife. You don't usually see roller bearing assembly and deep perfect blade alignment for $20 used to $60 new. For pocket knife activities you can't ask for a better knife. If you want a knife for bushcraft or other things get yourself a fixed blade belt knife.

Exactly as Advertised
I have the older version of this knife with a thumb stub instead of the flipper. It also has the company logo etched into the pocket clip and a slightly different texture to the handle. Everything else is the same, and it's a great knife to have in the office. Opening letters or packages and just having it handy. It is light, slim, discreet, elegant and useful. Fantastic knife, especially for special occasions or as a gift.
