Condor Tool & Knife

In the starry sky, Polaris points North to help guide you home, and the Polar North Machete is designed to help get you there. Joe Flowers designed this with a point down the centerline for easy point control, a large choil, and a multi-grip handle that can be used in many different positions. Condor has conducted months of tests with this machete, and surmised it was an outstanding balance of chopping and clearing capability, and a bushcrafter’s dream machete. At 2.5 mm thick, and a blade a little less than 12" long, this machete can chop, clear, cut, and process all sorts of things this world may throw at you.

My new favorite?
This is my 7th quality machete (all $100+). This might be my new favorite. I use machetes for reclaiming portions of my property totally overrun by scrub oak/gamble oak and maintaining the larger ones once I’ve cleared out the small overgrown crap. On anything up to a 2” diameter, this tool SHINES. It even makes a rewarding ping sound as it cuts smaller brush. The weight is perfect and it swings very nicely and effortlessly. It is a definitely a shorter tool, but man, there is something special about this one. It would not be my first choice for larger chopping tasks (I have heavier tools for those tasks), but it truly is wonderful and so maneuverable for smaller chores.

I chopped down two trees with it. Worked like a GEM! Check our review out at BetterThanNothin on youtube! Definitely worth the buy! Cant go wrong with the Condor! And if you’re having a problem with the grip just work on your hand strength or form.

Great !
First off this is a great blade! Love the design and overall feel. The fit and finish is great on this blade. The edge was very sharp but with a slight birr. The birr was easily fixed with a ceramic rod. My one criticism of this machete is that the handle does twist in the hand with moderate to heavy chopping. The handle would benefit with some texturing. Thinking about adding tennis racket or grip tape to the handle. Would purchase again!
