Condor Tool & Knife

The Terrachete Machete is a machete for everyone. With a well-designed ergonomic thermoplastic handle, this woodsman's tool can handle any environment. Like Condor's popular Terrasaur knife, this machete is designed to be a cutting tool you can count on. The edge has been designed to have a tougher grind near the tip where strikes with rocks can happen, and it blends to a different grind near the handle, for more controlled carving. The Machete has an extended pommel and comes in a thermoplastic sheath.

Right size
The handle is nice, though for personal preference I would have liked it a bit more hand filling. The blade is good, depending on how you want to use it it might need sharpening. The sheath is about as good as you could want. The price is almost unbeatable for what you get. There is really nothing to complain about.

Excellent Machete
I know you knife junkies out there remember the Fiddleback Forge 12" machete. This blade reminds me a lot of that minus the fancy micarta scales.Sheath is excellent, the thermoplastic handle is decently grippy with a nice hook on the end. The blade came ok sharp but as with most Condor blades a little edge refining is necessary. One cleaned up and sharp it sliced through green vines and branches up to 1" with little effort. The scandi edge near the handle should prove useful but it too need some work to get it to 100%.Overall this is one of the best condor offering in a while. With many of their blades north of $100 it's nice to get a good one back at the old lower level pricing.
