The M16-04 and 14 are full-size working knives that feature the "Carson Flipper" extension to the blade which speeds opening and acts as an additional blade guard. One hand opening and closing is velvet smooth, the result of Teflon¨ bearings. The ambidextrous thumb stud with checkered surface provides instant access in any circumstance. Every model features a removable bead blast finish Stainless Steel pocket clip. All models of the M16 series are perfectly balanced, and every detail has a working purpose.
Kit Carson, Knifemaker's Guild Member, and designer of the M16 Series, designs for function, not fad. Heft any M16 and you'll know what that means. For example, wide blade design for multiple and difficult tasks. Sure-grip contoured handles of 6061T6 Hard Anodized Aluminum with a perimeter radius for a comfortable grip with or without work gloves. Stainless Steel locking liner with friction grooves, for positive locking with limited access for superior safety. AUS8 Stainless Steel blades, chosen for edge retention and durability, in non-reflective fine bead blast finish. Razor-Sharp or Combined TriplePoint (TM) Serrated edges for rugged cutting tasks that break down standard cutting edges.
AUS-8 Stainless Steel

Pros: Ease of Opening, Overall Quality, Blade Sharpness
Cons: Weight, Pocket Clip
Great knife
Very pleased with my purchase. Got it as an EDC but it might bite too large and heavyfor some. Great value for the price ... the blade on mine is shaving sharp.. forearm hairsdidn't stand a chance :) i don't like the pocket clip it's small and a very high spring tension ... And great service from Knifecenter.com arrived in a couple of days nicely packed a ready to go out of the box.

Cons: Handle Material
Very good knife
first off, this is a great knife. I haven't had it all that long but i'm already loving it. The positives are too many to list so i'll list negatives only.- The handle is aluminium which can be slippery - This could just be me but the knife was not as sharp as it could've been out of the box (but that can easily be fixed)- Again, this could just be my knife but the pivot screw does not stay in the one place and loosens a small bit when opened and closed, so the blade does not stay in the same position, it rocks around

I keep coming back to this knife, it's beefy, sturdy and although at first I wasn't keen to the chisel grind, it has now become my favorite. Once you learn how to sharpen this blade it will become your best friend. I have several knives, this is probably the cheapest, but it is the best. I like the ease of sharpening, how well it slices and I've even used it while diving, due to forgetting my dive knife. It has gathered a little rust but thats to be expected. This is simply a knife that is designed to be used hard.
