The Cold Steel Kudu takes its inspiration from the classic ring lock folding knives of Africa. They have stood the test of time, and have been in use continuously for centuries - and with good reason - they work! The Cold Steel Kudu features a highly rust resistant and beautifully mirror polished stainless steel blade that is expertly heat treated to offer an excellent balance between edge holding and ease of re-sharpening. The handle is made from durable glass-reinforced Zy-Ex and has an attractive wood grain texture and polished silver embellishments. The Kudu is amazingly lightweight, versatile and functional, and affordable on almost any budget.

I have had this knife for years and it has become one of my favorite gardening knives.I carry it front right pocket ring side up and can have it out in a jiffy. The way it cuts grass away from my fence and plants is fantastic. The long handle allows the pinkie finger to be in just the right place for sweeping cuts. Makes a decent kitchen knife and would field dress a deer too. Decent steel and strong locking system. Buy two of them and give one to a friend.

I have lite version, but lock mechanism broke, however, ring lock mecanism is excelent. For the price is it best Cold steel.
