CS20NPM1: Ranch Boss 2

Cold Steel

No one works harder than a rancher or a farmer and their work environment can put a variety of demands on a simple folding knife. The Ranch Boss II is here to meet just about any challenge your work can dish out! Designed from the ground up for usefulness, durability, and effectiveness, it offers a long, sharp, clip point blade that's flat ground out of high carbon steel and honed razor-sharp with an equally tough handle. Made with faux sawed bone handle scales, and reinforced with tough stainless steel bolsters, it will outlast nearly any brass frame folding knife. What's more, it comes with a stiff back spring (like a slip joint pocket knife) and a stainless steel liner lock, so your fingers will have extra protection. Includes a thick brown leather belt sheath.

Damn good knife
The lock up on this knife is superior . Carried this for 2 years now at work , many days . I do remodeling and construction . I've pretty much beat the hell out of this thing and its held up . I have been careful not to pry with it as its a clip point , so my point is intact still . That's the only action I've taken with care . The brass shields blew off when I was " stabbing " rocks from an excavator track , which was a little surprising but knda understandable . This knife LOCKS LIKE A FREAKING TANK .. period . Its the only slip joint / Liner combo I've ever owned but damn it man I don't know why this isn't way more common design . If you've been around a while you wont have any trouble opening it with one hand but you might have to be Gen x or older to know how that's done .... just saying , lol . One of my all time favorite knives

I like it a lot more than I expected
Lot of knife for the money. Arrived sharp, feels good, looks good. The only ding, and its a small one, is that you need to be careful to not put to much pressure on the slip joint back spring when releasing the lock. It is possible to put so much pressure when working the safety that it becomes a bit dangerous to close the blade.

Classic Beast
After buying the Lone Star Hunter, some years back, I figured my craving for this very classic style would be satisfied; not so. The Ranch Boss 2 is excellent. Really a locking slipjoint, as the “liner” lock actually slides over the tang, and not behind (as with a Walker liner lock). The blade comes with a working edge, but after a few minutes on my SharpMaker it becomes a razor! Everything is adjustable - screws instead of rivets.Slim, elegant, excellent fit and finish, quality materials.
